We are an animal ministry, a network of volunteers who are focused on the care of animals and the people they own.

We have doctor’s of veterinary medicine, doctors of avian medicine, professors and research professionals supporting our
efforts, monitoring and submitting to our care guides on these pages.

We are owned and managed by Rev. Dr. S.A. Abbott,  CAS (Certified Avian Specialist) with continuing
education in animal nutrition and behavior.
S. August Abbott is also a member of the Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council, International Association of
Animal Behavior Consultants, World Wildlife Federation (Leaders Club), as well the ASPCA and National
Humane Society.

When animals are left behind and abandoned, 4AnimalCare uses live-traps and hands-on methods to
recover them, rehabilitate when necessary and eventually placed in new, loving, forever homes.

We also manage controlled feral cat populations (having males neutered, females spayed), very helpful in
rodent control in some areas while maintaining animals that may not be adoptable/able to be tamed.

4AnimalCare maintains feeding stations for wild populations of both cats and other critters, including some
birds. These stations are checked at least twice a day, every day, all year.  Clean food and water
constantly provided, all at the expense of the volunteers who are also giving their time.

4AnimalCare will visit schools and clubs with our marvelous macaw and most successful rehab
story, ‘Sadie’,  a previously abused bird who has also survived a disability that required surgery to
both of her feet.  She’s also got some great information about exotic birds like herself

We are committed to the health and welfare of all animals.
Each has their place on this planet and it’s our duty to honor that.

And we're always trying  to do more

You owe your animal proper medical care.
You cannot diagnose a broken bone or a tumor at home
And you cannot treat it with the contents of your kitchen and duct tape
We are not a charity/501(c).  The IRS does not tell us what to do with our
donations. We do not have to follow rules that would prevent us from giving away
supplies to whoever needs them without a strict accounting and assigning a value to
them.
When we find a person or an animal in need - we and our volunteers do whatever we
can to meet that need.  Plain and simple.
